Myself, John La Porta, Ekta Patel, and Daniel Labios collaborated on this service design. Together we scouted the location, brainstormed concepts through a variety of methods, and invented our version of the Ships of the Sea experience. I worked primarily on Illustrator graphic creation and creating service blueprints and maps to be fine-tuned by our graphic design lead.
Initial Service Experience Blueprint
strategically arrange the floor plan to better engage users with the content?
introduce innovative and novel ideas into the exhibits so users are engaged or thrilled?
expand the brand to better cater to a broader audience?
better unify their primary museum experience with their secondary services, including as a wedding and event space?
empower the museum to re-prioritize their goals towards creating a better user experience?
Our top three Optimization concepts, designed to optimize the existing experience and to pitch to the client as seamless and feasible new ideas. Kids’ Weekend was my concept, with the other two brainstormed by teammates.
Kids’ Weekend storyboard by Daniel Labios
Panel 1: Caleb and his parents have just arrived at the Ships of The Sea Maritime Museum. This Weekend is Kid’s Weekend. The Museum is holding fun activities, such as LEGO competitions, role-play, and a sleep over at the museum for the weekend
Panel 2: After playing with LEGOs, Caleb volunteered to join the Pirates Adventure show and is about to take down a pirate for his booty.
Panel 3: The long weekend is over. After the movie, Caleb and his parents take a quick photo before they leave the museum to share on social media.

Our top three Transformative concepts, designed to revolutionize the existing experience and to pitch to the client as blue-sky, brand-new service offerings. After Hours Event Club was my concept, with the other two brainstormed by teammates.
Ships Around the World storyboard by Daniel Labios
Panel 1: Our couple has spent the first day lounging around and enjoying the sun on the cruise. They are glad that Ships of The Sea Maritime Museum sponsored a Caribbean Port Hop so that patrons can better explore maritime history in luxury.
Panel 2: What’s nice are the other folks who are also on the Caribbean Port Hop. They love to socialize with fellow like-minded vacationers. It’s nice to know other people who have been to Savannah, and it becomes a major talking point.
Panel 3: Besides the cruise and other patrons, the Stops are also noteworthy. Port Towns have a rich history and feel just like Savannah. The museum visits are also included with the Caribbean Port Hop package. Let’s see if they are just as good as Ships of The Sea Maritime Museum!
